National Cadet Corps

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. It is a tri-services organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force. The NCC was founded on 16 April 1948 by Dr. Hirday Nath Kunzru, with the aim of developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.


Cadets in the NCC are given basic military training in drill, weapons, fieldcraft, first aid, map reading and navigation. They also participate in a variety of activities such as camping, trekking, mountaineering, sports, cultural events and community service.


* Students will get basic military training, which will help you to develop discipline, 

   leadership qualities and a sense of adventure.

* Students will get to participate in a variety of activities such as camping, trekking,    

   mountaineering, sports, cultural events and community service. This will help 

   you to develop your physical and mental fitness, and to learn new skills.

* Students will get to meet new people from different parts of the country, and to make

   lifelong friends.

* Students will get to contribute to the nation by serving in the armed forces or by

   working in the civil services.
